Imperial Naval Intelligence — Mission Documentation Package — Classified
This instrument constitutes a binding contract between the Imperial Naval Intelligence Directorate, Third Imperium, acting through its duly authorised representative, and the undersigned civilian operative or operatives hereinafter referred to collectively as "the Contractor," for the performance of special services as herein described.
The Contractor is engaged to locate, board, and take lawful possession of the Imperial intelligence-configured vessel Perfect Stranger (registration IM-R-3341-PS, Type R subsidised merchant, modified), last confirmed at Amondiage Starport, Old Islands Subsector. The vessel shall be delivered to the Imperial Naval Representative at Zuflucht Highport, New Islands Subsector, with all onboard data storage systems intact and uncompromised.
The Contractor shall, without compromising the primary objective, endeavour to determine the circumstances and cause of death of any members of the vessel's assigned crew and shall report all findings to the debriefing authority at Zuflucht. Secondary objective completion is noted but not required for fee payment.
In the event that the vessel cannot be recovered, the Contractor's obligation shifts entirely to the recovery and delivery of the vessel's primary intelligence data cores. In such circumstances the vessel is considered expendable. Delivery of data cores alone satisfies the primary objective for purposes of fee calculation.
The Contractor operates as a civilian private party acting on legitimate ship-recovery paperwork. No Imperial Navy affiliation shall be claimed, implied, or acknowledged. In the event of capture, detention, injury, or death, the Directorate accepts no formal responsibility and will not intervene in official proceedings.
The Contractor shall conduct operations in a manner consistent with the preservation of regional stability in the Islands Cluster. Actions likely to precipitate open conflict between Islands Cluster polities are expressly prohibited. The Contractor shall not represent themselves as agents of the Imperium in dealings with local authorities.
The Contractor shall not attempt to access, copy, transmit, or review the intelligence data contained in the vessel's primary data cores beyond what is operationally necessary to confirm their existence and integrity. Breach of this clause constitutes grounds for fee forfeiture and potential prosecution.
Should the Contractor require passage to Amondiage, low-berth transport will be arranged at no cost to the Contractor. Baggage allowance under this arrangement is 10kg per operative. The Contractor accepts all standard risks associated with low-berth transit.
By signing below, the Contractor acknowledges they have read and understood the terms herein, accept the mission as described, and agree to operate under the conditions set forth. This document becomes void if not signed within 48 hours of issuance.
